SKINCARE SENSITIZATION AND TRAINING FOR PEOPLE WITH ALBINISM IN IMO STATE. 24'
Calling on residents of Imo State with Albinism! Are you interested in learning more about protecting your skin? We're hosting a skincare sensitization and training workshop specifically designed to address the unique needs of people with Albinism. This event will provide valuable information and practical skills to help you maintain healthy and radiant skin. Don't miss out on this opportunity to empower yourself with knowledge!
SCHOOL PROJECTS
TALI's TRAINING SESSION ON USE OF AUGMENTATIVE AND ALTERNATIVE (AAC) COMMUNICATIION DEVICES IN SCHOOLS
At our recently concluded educational outreach at GSS Kuje on the 28th of June, 2024, we were able to provide a range of valuable educational materials to the school. Students with cerebral palsy received Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, empowering them to communicate more effectively. Additionally, we donated a projector, a laptop, educational posters, tape recorders and wheelchairs to enhance the learning environment and facilitate better teaching methods.
With continued support from the public, we can extend our training program to more schools, fostering inclusive education and making a positive impact on even more students' lives. Stay tuned for our upcoming outreach in a school in the near future.

SUPPORT GROUP FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH DIABETES. 24'
Living with diabetes can be challenging, but you don't have to go through it alone. Join our supportive community at our upcoming Diabetes Support Group meeting! This is a safe space to connect with others who understand the daily realities of managing diabetes. Share experiences, ask questions, and gain valuable insights from fellow members. Whether you're newly diagnosed or have been managing diabetes for years, you'll find understanding peers and practical advice to help you navigate your journey. Connect with others who truly understand and discover the strength that comes from sharing and supporting one another.
INFRASTRUCTURE REFORM
THE ABILITY LIFE INITIATIVE CONSTRUCTION OF ACCESSIBLE TOILETS AND RAMPS IN MINISTRIES AND PUBLIC BUILDINGS
By building accessible toilets and ramps in ministries and public buildings, persons with disability in these organisations will feel included and taken into consideration. This project is done in a bid to promote easier access for persons with disability.
TALI's TRAINING SESSION ON EDUCATIONAL DISABILITIES FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS IN SCHOOLS
In 2022, TALI successfully launched interactive workshops on educational disabilities at Government Secondary Schools (GSS) in both Wuse II (12th October) and Jabi (17th June). These workshops provided an excellent opportunity to highlight the ideals of "inclusive education," emphasizing it's importance and the benefits of integrating it into the Nigerian educational system.
By educating students on different educational disabilities, they become more accepting and understanding of individual differences. This training is done in a bid to promote better relationships and interactions with persons with disability and further encourage the end of discrimination against persons with disability. This training falls under the five arms of TALI hence its necessity.
